So... you need a letter of recommendation and you have come to ask me, your beloved Ms. Tuttle?
Fabulous! Here is what you need to know/do:
1) Please come and speak to me IN PERSON and DIRECTLY about writing you a letter of recommendation. This is not just school policy, it is also what is polite and what I expect. If you simply send me a request via Naviance (or even email), I will NOT be writing you any such thing! When you come to speak with me, I will give you a recommendation form. You will need to fill this out and return it to me IN PERSON! This form is due May 25th, 2018. If I do not receive this form by May 25th, 2018, I will not write you a recommendation.
2) Either at the end of the year, or during the summer, you need to send me an email with your resume. Include school activities, extra curricular activities, volunteer work, etc.. I will not list these in your rec, per se, but I will use this information to talk about how you are engaged in the world/school outside of my classroom. Please use firstname.lastname@example.org (as my school email address will be suspended at the end of this year). Again, if I do not receive this, I will not be writing your recommendation.
