ICD: 
1) Peer review "Night Cafe" stories. Discuss the theme of your peers story, and how your peer conveys this theme through literary elements (both successes and failures). 
2) Discuss annotations (rubric in the writing guide) and "how" to read a story.

1) What does it mean to be innocent? How does innocence function in our society/lives/culture/world? How does innocence (or the lack there of) affect the value of an individual? 

Homework: 
Read "The Scarlet Ibis" and annotate the work for theme/literary elements. Prepare for a reading check quiz over the text (open ended and/or multiple choice).... all due Wednesday.
